SUSAN G. KOMEN® GREATER PA MORE THAN PINK WALK TO RETURN ON MOTHER’S DAY
Virtual state-wide event unites all Pennsylvanians together to fight breast cancer
Susan G. Komen®, the world’s leading breast cancer organization, invites all Pennsylvanians to take part in the 2021 Greater PA More Than Pink Walk™ on Mother’s Day Sunday. Now in its second year as a virtual experience, the MORE THAN PINK Walk brings together an empowered community of hope to raise funds to save lives from breast cancer through advocacy, research and direct patient care.
Due to health and safety guidelines, Komen transitioned its three Pennsylvania events last year to a new virtual format – and the response was overwhelmingly positive, raising nearly $1 million for the fight against breast cancer. Continuing with the virtual format for 2021, Komen is uniting the three previous events — Philadelphia, Northeast PA and Pittsburgh – into one event that expands across the entire state, reaching new communities to help to create a shared moment of impact this mother’s day.
The 2021 Greater PA MORE THAN PINK Walk is proudly supported by long-time sponsors: UPMC and Wawa and new sponsor, People First Federal Credit Union. “We are so grateful for our corporate partners who have helped fuel our mission and continue to provide our community with an opportunity to come together to share stories, laughter and tears,” said Suzanne Corson, Komen’s Executive Director of Pennsylvania.

There is no fee to register for the fundraising event or to access the online fundraising tools. “We look forward to seeing everyone across the state joining us on May 9th for a day of inspiration and hope as we honor those we have lost, celebrate those who have survived and support everyone currently living with breast cancer,” added Corson. “Even when we are apart, we will show that no one walks alone!”
